2011 Monhegan Workshops
Oil painting (or acrylic)
June: 23rd - 29th
Saturday - Friday, 2012 Canceled
September: 8th-14th
Saturday - Friday, 2012
The Workshops are Saturday through Friday with a "free paint" day during the middle of the week.
$500. for the full week and if there is some space, and if you can only do a day or two,
the workshop per day rate is: $90.
If you are attending and want to rent a cottage through Shining Sails, Tribbler Cottage or any other cottage rentals on the island...
They start booking rentals on January 1st.
If you are going to stay at one of the Inns, Monhegan House, Trailing Yew or the Island Inn, the best rooms go first.
**The Monhegan House* supplies breakfast...I am pretty sure it is still off-season rates at that time of year.
My personal favorite.
E-mail Holden W. Nelson: <info@monheganhouse.com>
The *Trailing Yew* includes breakfast and dinner... family style...off season rates as well...
The *Island Inn* is the fanciest...read most $s...It's the only Inn with some private bathrooms.
You will pay your own transportation, food and accommodations.
Let me know if you have any questions and /or plan on attending the workshop.
A $100. deposit is appreciated, and the balance the week before the workshop is appreciated, but not mandatory. Thanks.

"Everything that is painted directly and on the spot has always a strength, a power, a vivacity of touch which one cannot recover in the studio ...three strokes of a brush in front of nature are worth more than two days of work at the easel."
